Reviews and Ratings
The hotel offers very spacious rooms above the petrol station with king size beds and an additional bed in a setting overlooking a wedding. Although the room took a while to warm up, it was large and boasted an older thick stone building charm. The service was top-notch, catering perfectly to our needs for a one-night stay, making us feel at home. However, the location, while scenic and suitable for events, suffered from noise due to a bar and nightclub downstairs, disturbing the peace. Dining experiences varied, with quicker service for non-guests, but with excellent breakfast options. Overall, a great place with some minor drawbacks.
The hotel is a bit inconvenient as the rooms had been previously used and not made up, leading to a back and forth to reception. The family room was dated and had poor sound insulation. However, the service was exceptional with a friendly and accommodating staff. The location, although scenic, suffered from noise from a bar and nightclub below. The dining experience was positive, with well-priced options despite limitations. Overall, a somewhat mixed experience with room issues but great service.
The hotel was basic but adequate for my son and me, perfect for our trip to the North West 200 with our 4 children. The staff were kind and helpful, going above and beyond, even offering me an upgrade to the bridal suite due to a booking mistake. The location, although comfortable and with necessary amenities, was disrupted by a noisy bar on Thursday nights, impacting my sleep. The dining experience was average, with a good menu but disappointing sodas. Overall, a suitable stay for our needs with a few drawbacks.
